Prevention and Awareness Campaigns to Support Government and Public Servants Amid Covid-19 By Ebony Holdings
As the pandemic continues to put a strain on public servants and those in need, conscious organizations such as Ebony Holdings (pvt) ltd have been engaging in prevention and awareness campaigns to support the government and public sector servants in Sri Lanka.
Following the outbreak of COVID-19 and the shortage of protective wear for frontline personnel in Sri Lanka, Ebony Holdings has been working on a set of initiates to support the government and public sector servants Sri Lanka.
The first of the initiatives by the well-recognized menswear manufacturer under their prominent menswear fashion label “Vantage” included donating over 10,000 premium fabric face masks for the use of DMC officials handling COVID-19 operations at the Disaster Management Centre, the frontline staff of the medical teams at the Police Hospital and the essential service staff at the Sri Lanka Railway Department.
Secondly, Ebony worked in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Railway Authority to create awareness across 250 railway stations and in the interiors of 25 trains through customized stickers with vital information regarding precautionary measures, during the pandemic. The stickers were designed and manufactured to be environmentally friendly acts as prompt and continuous reminders to the public to wear facemasks, maintain social distance and cleanse hands.
The initiatives were a part of Ebony Holding’s CSR activities and were carried out during the critical hours of the lockdown when the Covid-19 implications were volatile for both the community and businesses. The premium men’s fashion manufacturer was prompt in producing and donating a large number of export quality 3 PLY premium fabric masks in compliance with the Health Ministry standards.
